"The Technology and Livelihood Education Learn Earn Achieve Productivity (TLE LEAP) Series is the new textbook in TLE. It is a K to 12 curriculum compliant. It focuses on three major livelihood component areas: Home Economics (HE), Agriculture and Fishery Arts (AFA), and Industrial Arts (IA). The textbook prepares the students to become positive, productive, and more market-oriented, as well as endowed with a customer-centered mindset.<br/>The first unit if Food and Food Service, which covers basic cooking, cooking native delicacies, baking breads and pastries, and baking cake and cookies. The second unit is Home Management Business. It tackles basic concepts in housekeeping, housekeeping as a business, and waste management and recycling. Clothing and Textile is the third unit. It covers sewing tools and equipment, textile products, and product costing. The fourth unit is Health Care and Support Services that thoroughly discusses prenatal and postnatal care, infant and toddler care, and child care. The fifth unit is Beauty Care that covers manicuring and pedicuring. Handicrafts is the sixth unit. It delves on plastic crafts production, bamboo crafts, rattan crafts and fiber crafts. The seventh unit is related with Agricultural Arts-Vegetable Growing. It is about planning a vegetable garden and harvesting and marketing organic vegetable products. " |
