Summary, etc. "Rainbows in English K to 12 addresses the development of the language arts and literary, study, and research skills for lifelong learners." It provides learners-centered communicative encourage for different abilities through task-base cooperative learning, and HOTS-oriented techniques as well authentic and alternative assessments. It recognizes the interrelationship of the five substandard of the language arts and multi=literacies curriculum, namely, listening, speaking, reading, writing, and viewing and the fourteen domains of the integrated language arts curriculum. It subscribes to the philosophy of the Interdisciplinary Approach (IDA) which integrates the language arts with the other areas of discipline in the curriculum. It employs formal and informal forms of assessment to screen and monitor progress and other performance assessment strategies ensuring evidence of of "of-the-moment learning." It reaches and challenges all types of learners through the regular instructional intervention and technology-driven enrichment activities. It provides school-home connection through purposeful out-of-the classroom tasks and projects and free online support. It adopts the Understanding by Design (UbD) curriculum framework, the Constructivist, and the multiple intelligences theories.
