Introductory Metal Working is designed for the student enrolled in the first courses in metal working. This text gives the student accurate up to date occupational and technical information. It also provides challenging activities designed to help the students understand basic outside the laboratory. In addition, the text provides information on how to develop skills in using tools and equipment.
Organization -- Introductory Metalworking is organized into six sections which average three units each. The text starts with career information and basic metalworking concepts, and then progresses, though metalworking theory, practice, and application. During this period of time, the students build on their knowledge and develop their skills. Short true and false questions to check your knowledge, safety tips, a vocabulary checklist, learning activities, and unit review are provided in each section. In addition, a glossary of terms has been included so the student can use it as a reference thoughout the text.
