"The primary goal of Speech for Effective Communication is not only to impart conceptual understanding of theories, but also to make students acquire and enhance skills through practice." This book ensures adequate practice in pronunciation, intonation and all critical sounds in context. Foreign words found in literature are occasionally used as examples of speech sounds. A variety of exercises on speech sounds are provided so that the students will gain proficiency in correct and rhythmic pronunciation. The introduction of good speech models and sample speeches will familiarize the students with the sound of the English language.
